Hiya peeps

It seems we are now in Stage 3 of the game – ie potential summonses/prosecutions. I am keeping my eye on some of the youtube offerings and thought it might be helpful if we could post here if we hear of anything.

Cheers

Thanks Yorkie, so far no ripples in the water, perhaps they are busy with other rubbish that they are 'foisting' upon us.

Thanks yorkie, as usual, hope you are well. Glad you kept your eyes peeled on that one. Cheers. Looks like what you said about easy targets was correct.

Hi, hoping someone's keeping an eye on this topic, I NEED HELP!!!

I have received a court summons through the post this morning, (yeah Merry Christmas from her maj's justices!!).

It seems easy targets are the way they're going, as I am a single mum. and have heard today, they're prosecuting 400 out of the 100,000 that refused to fill in the form.

My court date is 17th Jan (and a happy new year!)

I am coming to the belief that the timing of this summons is rather too convenient.

I really don't want a criminal record because I didn't fill in a form, I really need some help and advice with this please.

I will go more into the in's and outs of this when I have a bit more time, but I really would appreciate some positive input please.

Sorry to hear that mwoods. Can't believe they are notifying people at this stage. I'll see if I can dig out the links but there has been some publicity about prosecutions and comment on other forums. It seems to me that they are going for a lot of prosecutions over a fairly short period. Could be a ploy to stop people learning from each other. I have found you on indymedia so this info is more for the benefit of others.

Here is one target – single parent, mother of five on dialysis!

And another

A useful organisation

Can I ask, did you have contact with the non compliance officers or put any concerns in writing? This article says they could only prosecute those who had contact. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-16299280

Yeah it does seem that way, as I haven't been able to glean much information if any about previous cases.

I have read about that, it seems as though they are hitting 'easy targets' as seen on this page of the same site:

I have created a blog, which details the amount of my contact with them

Must dash for now, got to get ready for New Year's celebrations!!

Make the most of it while I'm free eh? lol :)

Hi mwoods Ihave tried to post four times and my info has so far not gone on the system. So here goes the last attempt. The last census time, people were given the chance to fill the form out before going to court, so i'm wondering if this option is stil available this time. Looks like theyre trying to make a serious point doing things this way. I wonder if it would not be better for everyone to make some sort of class action point against this (if this is possible) rather than going it alone so to speak. Safety in numbers, publicity, etc, which they do not usually want (or do they)? Obviously they would prefer people to be seperated and go it alone to give more impact. Whatever happens you must do what is right for you no matter what anyone says.
