Looks like unlawful rebellion in Tottenham.
Wonder if they all conformed to the census crap?
keep window twitching folks.
Maybe our courts will be so full in the coming weeks, they won't be able to spare the time for mere non form fillers?

All's quiet on the western front. Any activity or news if it's all over?

I found one report on youtube of a visit on August 15th and one (possible troll) claiming the NCO's were still out and about. It should be noted that the August 15th visit was not 'brand new' contact – in that there had been previous correspondence.
The ONS itself gave August 15th as end of contract (though I saw one link giving August 19th). We are not to know of course whether any contracts have been extended.
I don't know if it is true but I read that summonses have to be issued within 6 months of census date ie end of September.
Imo those who have had no face to face contact or personal correspondence with the ONS are home dry though it is probably wise to keep heads down for a little while yet. So we should exercise a little caution when answering the door to strangers and not sign for any unexpected registered mail.

Hopefully as well, there will not be any problems for those with non-commital correspondence (letters/notices without names), ie from the occupier! (whoever that might be).

I think that was the scenario with the August 15th visit. That and some of the other visits may have been a direct consequence of people making some sort of contact ie sending 'provisional acceptance' pending resolution of their concerns/queries. People have been non-committal at the door too. It remains to be seen whether ONS can push a prosecution in those cases.
Probably it's a cowardly stance but I chose not to flag up my address to them in any way. She said as two Non Compliance Officers made their way up the garden path… Just kidding. I hope!

I bring you this interesting little snippet posted elsewhere by a former census collector
Anyway, as for prosecutions – it became obvious to me the only people
who would be taken down that route were the ones stupid enough to
answer the door to someone like me (A Collector) and refuse to do it. If
you didn't answer, or said you weren't the householder I would just
mark you down as 'No Response'. I'd go back a few times but that was it
in the end – nothing was logged as a 'refusal'. However if you answered
and said "I'm not doing it" then I had to fill in a 'refusal report' and
then a proper 'Non-Compliance Officer' would be sent round. They would
have a copy of the census, if you refused they'd book you a session in
court, where yet another copy of the questionnaire would be waiting
giving you one last opportunity to save yourself £1000.
