The amount of time and effort you spend online avoiding them could be put towards, oh I don't know, working? I have a legal qualification. Pretty much all of the above is complete baloney. Don't waste your time with it. Just contact whoever it is you owe money to, sort out a payment plan or even make them an offer. they will nearly all be prepared to settle for less than you owe. I have a question for you, or anyone that can help with this quandary. I am currently living at my girlfriends, so my council place is just there as extra space at the moment. There's no gas supplied.Everything is electric, so i adjusted my tariff with my electric supplier so i don't pay a standing order, just whatever i use, which of course is nothing. Do i really have to pay the standing order charges that i keep getting sent through by Yorkshire bleeding water, for not even being there?! I have a place in a block of flats with 46 other tenants, and i noticed that without even using water, the standing order charges seem to take the pi**!
